About the Role

The Mall Outdoor Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that all external areas of assigned shopping malls remain clean, organised, and safe throughout the day. This includes maintaining entrances, exits, pedestrian walkways, open public spaces, loading bays, drop-off points, and surrounding car park areas.

The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a positive attitude. Every member of the cleaning team contributes to creating a welcoming first impression for everyone visiting the shopping mall.

You will work under the guidance of experienced supervisors who will provide clear instructions, daily work schedules, and ongoing support whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine outdoor cleaning around shopping mall premises.
• Sweep and clean pedestrian walkways, entrances, exits, and surrounding public areas.
• Remove litter, fallen leaves, dust, sand, and other debris from assigned locations.
• Clean loading and unloading bays to ensure safe operational conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness around taxi stands, bus stops, bicycle parking areas, and drop-off points located within mall compounds.
• Empty rubbish bins before they become full and replace waste liners when necessary.
• Collect waste and transport it safely to designated disposal or recycling points.
• Carry out basic washing of outdoor surfaces using water hoses or approved cleaning equipment.
• Ensure public seating areas, smoking corners, and landscaped surroundings remain clean and tidy.
• Monitor assigned zones continuously throughout the shift and respond promptly whenever cleaning is required.
• Report damaged facilities, safety hazards, slippery surfaces, blocked drains, overflowing bins, or maintenance issues to supervisors immediately.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate basic cleaning tools and equipment responsibly and report equipment faults when identified.
• Assist team members during peak operational periods or special cleaning assignments.
• Support additional environmental maintenance duties whenever required by management.

Working Schedule

Employees will work according to a roster prepared by the operations team.

Typical working arrangements include:

• Five working days per week.
• Two scheduled rest days based on operational requirements.
• Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Meal and rest breaks provided during every shift.
• Overtime opportunities available depending on manpower requirements and operational demands.

Shift assignments may vary depending on the location and operational needs of each shopping mall.
