About the Role

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play an important role in providing outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of store operations. You will be responsible for ensuring customers receive friendly assistance, accurate product information, and an enjoyable shopping experience from the moment they enter the store until they complete their purchase.

You will also contribute to maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming retail environment while supporting inventory management and daily operational tasks.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy communicating with people, solving customer needs, and working in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Welcome customers with a warm and professional attitude.
• Assist customers by recommending suitable products based on their preferences.
• Answer customer enquiries accurately and confidently.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the shopping experience.
• Process purchases using various payment methods.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
• Handle cash, credit cards, digital payments, and vouchers.
• Replenish merchandise and maintain attractive product displays.
• Label and organize products according to company standards.
• Perform stock replenishment throughout the day.
• Conduct daily inventory and stock counts.
• Report inventory shortages or damaged products.
• Ensure shelves remain neat, clean, and well-stocked.
• Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
• Assist with opening and closing store procedures.
• Support promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
• Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to achieve store targets.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Participate in training sessions and continuously improve product knowledge.

Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level or GCE ‘O’ Level qualification
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not required
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Able to work rotating retail shifts
• Able to work weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are preferred

Training and Career Development

No prior experience? No problem.

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training covering customer service, cashiering, store operations, inventory handling, merchandising, workplace safety, and product knowledge.

As you gain experience, you may have opportunities to progress into positions such as Senior Retail Associate, Store Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, or other leadership roles within the organization.
